Rani Mukerji has launched the first song of her forthcoming movie Hichki in her school located in Juhu, Mumbai in presence of her teachers. Rani who is playing teacher herself in the movie pays tribute all her mentor through this film.
The first song of the movie titled Oye Hichki tries to break the stereotype concept of society. With the tagline ‘Har hichki sunai nehi deti’(not every hiccup can be heard), this song encourages people to embrace one’s true self without the fear of society.
The soulful voice of Harshdeep Kaur keeps up the spirit of the irresistible-to-hum tune of Juslin Royal.
In the song, the leading lady of the movie is seen to dance with a bunch of slum kids with few parallel stories like girls playing football, a girl with pegleg dancing without fear. But the most impressing part is a story of the dusky girl, whose mother compels her to apply fairness cream before appearing in front of suitor but she denies and retains in her true self.
