The trailer of one of the much discussed socio-political drama – Buddha In A Traffic Jam is out. An autobiographical movie based on the life of its writer as well as director Vivek Agnihotri’s life, the movie revolves around many debatable themes like corruption, campus politics, brainwashing of the students by certain universities, current political situation and maoism. The film is an initiative by Indian School of Business, Hyderabad and the cast comprises Arunoday Singh, Anupam Kher, Pallavi Joshi, Mahi Gill and Anchal Dwivedi. It would be interesting to watch Anupam Kher in such a movie, who in the past few months was in the news more for his candid speech than his films.
Even before its release, the movie has been acclaimed in many film festivals all over the world. It won the best Actress award (Pallavi Joshi) and got nominated for the best film in Dada Saheb Film Festival. The happier news is that the film was passed by the censor boards without any cuts. Director Vivek Agnihotri while sharing his conversation with one of the censor board member, (at the trailer launch of the film) tells, “one of them said that there should be at least 150-170 cuts in the film, but if we made cuts to your film, there wouldn’t be any meaning left in the film. And we feel that it is essential for people to watch the film, so we will pass it without any cuts.”
Set to be release on May 13, the movie is the need for the country in the present scenario.
