Rohit Shetty is one of the most popular directors presently. Almost each of his films are making blockbuster revenues. However, two of his films went somehow little bit low in comparison.
Recently at Jio MAMI 18th Mumbai Film Festival, he talked about Golmaal Returns, Singham Returns and Dilwale. Rohit Shetty said,
“I start getting that feeling when you are going wrong. My films are hardcore commercial films catering to a particular audience. So, you start getting that feeling that it won’t work at that level. I have been right about it twice or thrice”
When he was asked, how he coped up with failures, Rohit replied,
“We rectify ourselves…what all went wrong. Even if it is a hit, the whole team sits together and we introspect. ‘Golmaal Returns was the biggest hit of those days…in 2008. But we knew, it’s a crap film”
He also discussed what went wrong with films like Singham Returns and Dilwale,
“In Singham Returns, the character went wrong. Dilwale… the whole Kajol-Shah Rukh story went wrong. You come to know where you are going wrong.”
Rohit Shetty will soon start working on the fourth part of super hit franchise Golmaal, titled Golmaal Again.
