Well, creepy, isn’t it? This is what Pawan Kripalani’s directorial “Phobia” is all about. Radhika Apte, who stars in the movie, suffers from this condition popularly known as Agoraphobia, and has managed to capture our motions and attention towards the helplessness and insanity her character goes through.
After the cult horror thriller Ragini MMS, Pawan Kripalani is back with “Phobia” starring Radhika Apte, who has managed to impress us with her appraised performances in Manjhi, Hunterr and short film Ahilya. The director speaks out,
“Today, living with fear is an everyday affair. All of us are phobic about something. I wanted to make a film that captures our fears and the paranoia of daily urban life.”
She has managed to maintain the pace of the character, which suffers from such ailment after a certain incident, and is only connected to the outside world through a peep-hole. But what can she do when she realizes that the real fear lives within her four-walled house! Pretty mysterious and exciting!! She says,
“Phobia is the first psychological of my career and also one of the most challenging and complex characters that I have ever played.”
The movie is produced by Eros International and Next Gen Films, and will be released on May 27.
