After years, Mowgli not only came back to our lives but also made an outstanding collection at the box office. Earlier, it was reported that ‘The Jungle Book’ became the second highest opener movie of 2016 after Airlift. But now it has made new record by crossing 100 Crore mark in India. The film made a great start with 9.76 crore in the first two days, moving 27 crore in the second week and finally beating the collection of last year released Fast and Furious 7, it has presently done the business of around 101 crore in India. With this, The Jungle Book has become the highest earning Hollywood film in India and that too within ten days of release. The movie didn’t slow down even after the release of Shahrukh Khan starrer ‘Fan’. The fantasy adventure film for children even beat the record of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Airlift’ which collected 29 crore in the second week. This high score of Airlift was achieved by ‘The Jungle Book’ in just four days of its second week.
