The first poster of film ‘Anna’ is out. The movie is based on the biopic of the famous social activist Anna Kisan Baburao Hazare who led movements to encourage rural development and ensure government transparency.
Directed by Shashank Udapurkar’s, the official poster was launched by none other than Anna Hazare himself. The poster features Anna waving to his followers and supporters.
Produced by Mahendra Jain and presented by The Rise Pictures Pvt Ltd, Anna stars Govind Namdeo, Sharat Saxena, Kishore Kadam and Tanisha Mukherji.
Here are some excerpts from the Anna Hazare talk to the reports at the launch:
“At the age of 25, I had decided I will serve my country till my last breath. My age is 79 today but my determination is same. Nothing is impossible.”
“The makers have included incidents from my childhood as well as what I have done.”
“For the sake of the society and country, someone has to sacrifice his life. I chose not to get married and serve for the society. In a way, I don’t have a family but I have so many people, who are my family.”
When he was asked about Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was initially associated with ‘Anna Hazare Movement’ but later on form ‘Aam Aadami Party’, Anna Hazare replied, “Now I have no relations with Arvind Kejriwal. I don’t know what is right or wrong but it hurts me whenever I read about him in newspapers”.
He further also said, “My road is of struggle and I will continue to follow that path for my country. I focus on my work.”
