So, finally Salman puts an end to all the buzzes of the Band, Baja and Baraat along with his marriage with Romanian beauty Iulia Vantur. You must be aware of the rumours and the fans going crazy about his wedding. But in a recent interview to a famous magazine, our Sallu Bhai opens about his getting married in near future.
Here’s what he has to say:
When Is The Announcements?
These are just rumours as you said yourself. If I had got engaged or was getting married, I wouldn’t wait for the news to leak out. I would announce it myself; it would be a proud moment for me. Thode hi main chup rahunga like those yesteryear stars who hid their wives thinking that it would lessen their fan following. I know the whole country would be happy for me.”
‘I am a difficult partner’
Without denying his relationship with Iulia, Salman confessed that marriage is a big step and he is not yet ready to take it. He said, “It takes two to make a marriage, one difficult partner and the other easy-to-live with,” So, who is the difficult one? “I am” he admits, “I am never at home; I am always surrounded by people, always working. If it’s now a movie, it’s an ad or Big Boss. Now there are big plans for my charity Being Human too. Along with movies and the clothing line, we will now venture into restaurants, jewellery and the digital platform. Where’s the time?”
Is Iulia Perfect To Be Mrs Khan?
Commenting on his public relation with Iulia at Preity Zinta’s wedding reception, Salman said, “Was I with her or was she with my sister (Alvira)? I ran away in front. I don’t want to keep the press so busy. My private life may be national news but it’s now that important.” Well, smart reply by Bhai Jaan.
‘Wants to settle and have kids but…’
Talking about the improbability of his marriage, Salman stated that, “If it has to happen, it will. It might just happen one night. I’ll wake up in the morning to the thought, ‘Ho gayi hai, ab jhelo isse’. Earlier it would have been okay. But now, at my age, marriage is a very big step.” He further became more open about having kids and said , “Yes, I’d like to have a child but the problem with that is with the child the mother comes along. If I can avoid the mother and have a child I wouldn’t mind two or three. Tell me, if there’s a solution.”
If he would mind adopting children…
On being enquired about adopting children he stated, “No, I haven’t. I’m 50, but trust me, it’s not too old for a man, not in India at least.
Nice answers Sallu Bhai!! We really appreciate that.
