Randeep Hooda has received numerous appreciations and validations for his tremendous performance in the movie Sarbjit. Hooda’s performance was acclaimed by the audiences and the critics equally.
Recently, in an interview with journalist Rajeev Masand, Randeep talked about his journey in Bollywood. He got candid as he was ‘jealous’ of Alia and felt that Imtiaz favoured her more during the film Highway.
He said,
In Highway I started detesting the whole thing and I began feeling that Imtiaz is being more partial to Alia because she is Mahesh Bhatt’s daughter and it really got to me. I expressed it to Imitiaz in a strong and wrong way. But I am sure he understood me.
Furthermore he added,
One night when we were filming the Kashmir scene, Alia had to shoot for something else and I was nearing the end of my shoot, of that character. That night I broke down in my hotel room. Imtiaz heard it. He sat with me beside my bed for three hours. I was crying and doing what not, he just sat there with me. I appreciate that about him. That is when I found something within myself.
Randeep also spoke about his initial days in Bollywood and his debut movie D. He said,
I didnt have work for 3 years. I got a good start in D. I was employed by Ram Gopal Verma for 3 years for 35000 Rs a month for doing nothing. But then he gave me D.
Well that’s touchy!
