Pakistani artistes like Fawad Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shafaq Shafqatt Ali, Mawra Hocane and Imran Abbas Naqvi are all involved in black money transactions in India. Reportedly, a sting operation conducted by a Hindi news channel News 18 busted their ‘agents’.
According to the sting report, undercover reporters caught “agents of the Pakistani artistes” demanding their fee in black for the appearance in wedding ceremonies. While a few demanded it as some part of the fee to be paid in white and other in either cash or to be transferred to bank accounts in Australia or Dubai, the statement alleged.
As per the sting, Kapoor and Sons actor Fawad’s manager demanded Rs 50 lakh for a two-hour appearance. He wanted it to be transferred to the actor’s UAE-based bank account, the statement alleged. There is a similar case where the culprit is manager of Sanam Teri Kasam actress.
News18 India also states that these activities violate statutory laws; as all the Pakistani artistes come to India on a work permit obtained through the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA)
