In this season of Koffee With Karan, celebrities are being very careful about what they say and share on the show. Unlike, the previous sessions, stars prepare themselves well before taking seat on the couch.
At an event, Karan Johar was asked about the same, he stated,
Not every word (on the show) should be whacked or over-analysed… I don’t think anyone sitting on the couch means to offend anyone.
Shah Rukh Khan was the first guest on the show this season. He also talked about it saying,
I (still) think it’s brilliant… (But) Now, it’s a little held back. Even Karan has noticed that.
At this point in time, there’s no differentiating one media from another. You say a word — it can be talked, published, reported in any way. So, everybody is wary. I wish we had times when we could just have fun. I think the sense of humour is diluting a little bit. At times people take themselves too seriously.
SRK says that Karan handle the situations well on the show. He said,
He is aware that he, too, has to hold back. Even if you really screw up on Karan’s show, he himself would turn around and say this is something he’s not going to use on television. He doesn’t do it for enticement or any kind of vulgar display of TRPs. He does it with a lot of dignity and respect. It may not come across like that because we’re having fun but there’s an understanding among everyone.
King Khan appreciates KJo and gives credit to him for the popularity and success of the show. He concluded,
He’s wonderful. He loves everyone who comes on his show and everybody loves him back. That comfort makes the show beautiful. Even if held back (in a way), it’s one of the most open shows because everybody loves each other.
