Kareena Kapoor Khan finally reacted on the controversy made on his son Taimur Ali Khan’s name. When the couple decided to name their child Taimur Ali Khan twitteratis slammed the couple for naming their child Taimur as they start connecting the name to Timur – A ruthless Turkish ruler.
Rishi Kapoor also gave some befitting reply to the trollers for criticizing Kareena’s son name. Now its Kareena Kapoor Khan who finally reacted on the controversy.
She had an interview with Mid-Day where she said:
It was bizarre. I have no idea why people took my baby’s name so personally. But we love the name and let me put it this way — it has no resemblance to any person living or dead. We love the meaning (Taimur means iron in Arabic) and I am happy that [some] people came out in support of us so strongly. That support matters more than anything bad that was said or written.
Earlier Saif Ali Khan reacted on same. He said to Mumbai Mirror that:
Perhaps, I should have added a disclaimer, as they do in the movies, that any resemblance to any person, living or dead, is purely coincidental. My wife and I love the sound of it and we love its meaning. I am aware of the heritage of the Turkish ruler–he was Timur, my son is Taimur, an ancient Persian name that means iron. In fact, of all the names I ran by Kareena, she liked this one the best because it’s beautiful and strong, It’s an old family name like Sara who was also named after a cousin I admired,
