After facing a lot of controversies and delay, Haraamkhor is finally up for a release this Friday!
Based on the love story of an old teacher with his much younger student was supposed to set a wrong example for the society.
But after a successful appeal at the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT), the film will finally be coming in front of the viewers.
A prominent entertainment portal met Nawazuddin Siddiqui a few days’ back to know if the delay would affect the film. During an interview, Nawaz spoke about the whole controversy. This is what he said about the film:
I am happy that the film is releasing. I did this film four year back and now it is releasing, so I am excited about it. But it is a very small budget film. The day it releases and if one person buys one ticket, we will be in profit. (The makers have recovered its cost of production by selling the movie on social media and TV).
He was further asked if the delay was bad or shouldn’t have happened. To this, he replied:
Yes, (it felt bad) when the release was delayed. But this isn’t a period film, so you can see it anytime.
It is not in my hand to release the film. I have done my work, that’s it. But now it is releasing, so it is good.
