Raid has become the third highest opener of 2018 collecting Rs 10 crores on its first day after Padmavaat and Padman. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh took Twitter to announce, “After an ordinary start in morning shows, Raid jumped post noon onwards. Evening ad night shows saw super growth. A double digit start for a non-masala, the realistic film is heartening. Strong word of mouth should boost numbers on Saturday and Sunday.” This Ajay Devgn and Ileana D’Cruz movie opens in 3,400 screens all over India. The movie opens with a fair review of the mind-blowing performances of Ajay and Saurabh Shukla.

Another trade analyst Girish Johar is expecting that the movie will gross around Rs 30 crore. “Raid is expected to collect around Rs 30 crore in its first weekend. Trade analyst Akshaye Rathi is also very much optimistic about the film. He said, “It has opened to encouraging numbers particularly in the urban centers and the word around the film is positive in general, which is good news. It will end up posting a healthy total of Rs 75 crore by the end of its run.”
The movie is based on a true event of the longest Income tax raid of our country. The movie is directed by Raj Kumar Gupta.
