Aiyaary records the lowest opening movie of Neeraj Pandey till date. With a disappointing 3.25 Cr at the first day collection in box office it has become the lowest opener of Sidharth Malhotra’s career also. The movie is getting dull reviews from the critics for its complicated storyline. The movie starring Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpai in lead has faced backlash from the viewer also.
As per the report of Bollywood Box Office, the film managed to collect 3.25 crore only where Hollywood movie Black Panther shows a terrific start with 5.60 crore opening. Bollywood trade analyst Taran Adarsh took Twitter to post “#BlackPanther embarks on a TERRIFIC START… Fri ₹ 5.60 cr Nett [includes ₹ 35 lakhs from paid previews on Thu]… Gross BOC: ₹ 7.18 cr. Akshay Kumar’s Padman earned 2 crore on second Friday managing to gain total 64 Crore so far. On the other hand, Padmavaat is continuing its dream run collecting over RS 267 Crore so far. Earlier Sidharth Malhotra’s debut film Students of the Year (2012) collected Rs 7.25 crore, Ek Villain (2014) with Riteish Deshmukh and Shradhha Kapoor opened 16.43 Crore, Brother (2015) with Akshay Kumar grossed Rs. 13.04 crore. Last year two of his films A Gentelman (with Jacqueline Fernandez) and Ittefaq (with Sonakshi Sinha) managed to collect Rs 3.73 Crore and Rs 3.69 crore respectively.
